Due to the high-risk football match between FC Carl Zeiss Jena and Rot-Weiß Erfurt, the Südbad and the „Strandschleicher“ beach bar will remain closed this Saturday. Extensive security measures and road closures in the Oberaue area are the primary reasons.

Jena, 16.03.2026 – Two new beach volleyball courts with a modern floodlight system are currently being built at Strandschleicher. With a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony on March 12, Jenaer Bädergesellschaft started the expansion of the facility to a future total of eight professional sand courts.
