Jena (May 16, 2026) – The outdoor pool season in Jena has opened. On Friday, the traditional ‘Anbaden’ took place at Ostbad, marking the start of this year’s open-air swimming season.
Ostbad Jena will open the new outdoor pool season on May 15. While admission prices remain unchanged, a new health promotion initiative will allow seniors to swim for free during early morning hours five days a week.
Jena, May 6, 2026. The Schwimmparadies Jena will host a regional competition this coming Saturday. This results in restrictions for public swimming, as the sports pool will remain closed on that day.
On Saturday, February 28, 2026, the sports pool at Schwimmparadies Jena (GalaxSea) will be closed to the public for the Thüringer Meisterschaften in long-distance swimming. The leisure pool remains open regularly.
