During a nighttime speed control by the Autobahnpolizei on the A9 over the Pentecost weekend, a driver was measured at a speed of 221 km/h, exceeding the limit by more than 100 km/h.

A larger piece of sheet metal on the Autobahn 4 triggered a multi-vehicle rear-end collision on Monday morning. The route in the direction of Frankfurt am Main had to be temporarily fully closed near Stadtroda.
