Jena Art Collection Recovers Missing Kirchner Painting
Jena, April 15, 2026. The Kunstsammlung Jena is once again in possession of a long-lost work by the expressionist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner. The artwork, which was confiscated during the Nazi era, unexpectedly surfaced on the art market and has now been presented to the public for the first time.
