Jena, March 1, 2026 – Relief for passengers in Jena and the Saale-Holzland-Kreis: Following the two-day warning strike by the union Verdi, buses and trams have been operating according to the regular schedule since Sunday morning. The massive restrictions in local public transport (ÖPNV) have ended for the time being.
The extensive warning strike in Jena’s public transport led to a complete standstill of regular services on Saturday. Operations are set to resume gradually starting Sunday morning at 06:00.
